Feedback Station
Working with feedback as a natural part of the creative process is essential. By making it a habit to use simple and fun methods to practice giving each other feedback, students will gradually become more confident in formulating input without it being perceived as personal criticism or feeling difficult.
Working with feedback doesn’t need to be heavy or time-consuming; it can consist of brief comments and simple advice on where students are in the process, which they can then choose to act upon—or leave as is.
Learning through response
Use the feedback station during both the ideation and creation phases to make it clear that creating is a circular process where we develop something, test it on others, and return to the work to improve and adjust based on the input.
In a creative classroom, it can be useful to set up some form of physical arrangement—a feedback station. This could be a table, a screen, or a designated zone where feedback takes place.
Feedback glasses are a fun method where students take on different roles, ensuring that giving feedback doesn’t feel so personal.
